On June 12th, two of the core infrastructure providers we rely on—Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Cloudflare—began experiencing widespread outages.
Google Cloud encountered issues with networking and compute services across multiple regions, leading to degraded performance, service errors, and timeouts.
Cloudflare, which we use for DNS resolution, caching, and security (e.g., WAF/CDN), also reported significant disruptions. This affected how traffic was routed and protected across the internet.
Because our platform depends on both providers for performance, scalability, and security, these external failures began to impact parts of our own system. Users may have experienced:
Slower page loads or timeouts
Inability to log in
Accessing the Room
